What are the Binaural Beats?
Binaural Beats are perceived by the brain when two different tones with a certain difference between them played in each ear. For example, a 432 Hz tone is played in left ear and the 437 Hz tone is played in right ear. The difference between them will be perceived as a third tone, which is 5 Hz. This difference is called a Binaural Beat and depending of the amount of the third tone we will get Binaural Beats of different qualities, similar to those produced by our brain: Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, Gamma. Each wave falls in its own spectrum. By using Binaural Beats therapy, we can influence our brain to produce certain waves and, depending on their quality, we can achieve deep sleep and relaxation or focus and awareness.
What are Alpha Brain Waves?
Alpha waves lie in between the slowest brain waves such as Delta and Theta and high vibrating Beta waves. Alpha brain activity enables us to keep ourselves relaxed and focused at the same time. It's associated with better learning process as it activates the brain functions and enables us to recall and absorb information while staying calm and collected.
Alpha state aid in learning process, such as study for the exams or learning a new language. Start listening to Alpha binaural beats for maximum concentration and productivity.
What are Beta Brain Waves?
Beta waves are the high frequency brain waves produced when we are awake and fall between 12 Hz - 40 Hz frequency range. Beta brain waves are stimulating and involved in logical thinking and thought process. For example, if we are studying or are involved in mental labor. The effect that beta waves have on the brain can be compared to drinking coffee, energy drinks or other stimulants.
Beta activity enables us to complete everyday tasks such as writing, reading, analytical thinking and socialization.
What are Gamma Brain Waves?
Gamma waves are high vibrating waves involved in processing information and cognition that fall between the frequency range of 40 Hz - 100 Hz. Gamma brain waves help us in learning new information, providing better cognition and perception. Increased gamma waves are good for meditation, but excessive amount can lead to inability to learn new material. Optimal levels of gamma waves are found during REM phase of sleep.
Gamma binaural beats can increase Gamma brain waves and provide better cognition and learning new material.
What are Delta Brain Waves?
Delta Waves are the slowest waves produced by human brains and fall between 0 Hz - 4 Hz on the frequency range. The biggest amount of delta waves is found in young children and as we age, we produce less delta waves. These frequencies are connected to deepest levels of relaxation and restorative sleep, digestion, heartbeat regulation, immune system and other unconscious bodily functions. When delta waves are produced in our brain, we feel rejuvenated upon awakening from deep sleep. Excessive delta activity may cause difficulties in maintaining awareness, learning process, ADHD. Lack of delta waves can cause restless sleep and inability to rejuvenate the body and brain.
What are Theta Brain Waves?
Theta waves are associated with deep relaxation, creative thinking and heightened intuition.
Theta waves fall between 4 Hz - 8 Hz on the frequency range. When our brain produces theta waves, we are calm and relaxed. It also aids in achieving meditative state of mind. Listening to theta binaural beats or theta infused music will help reduce high frequency beta waves by increasing lower frequency theta waves reducing anxiety, stress and negative thoughts. After regular theta waves meditation, you might start noticing positive changes in your life. You will feel more compassionate, positive and happy.
Other benefits of theta waves are creativity and mind clarity. Creative people, such as artists, musicians and writers naturally produce more theta waves when they are engaged in their creative activities. High levels of stress and anxiety build creative blocks, that's why listening to Theta waves binaural beats or music can help overcome these blockages and unlock your creative potential.
In addition to other benefits, theta binaural beats can assist in lucid dreaming practice.
